Functional Patterns is a movement system that focuses on improving human biomechanics and movement patterns. It is designed to help individuals achieve optimal human function and performance by addressing the root causes of pain, dysfunction, and limitations in movement.
The system was developed by Naudi Aguilar. He founded Functional Patterns with the goal of creating a holistic approach to human movement that integrates strength training, corrective exercise, and movement techniques from various disciplines.

What tools and methods do we use to get our mind-blowing results?
Myofascial Release
Think of Myofascial (My-oh-fash-all) Release as the ‘Eraser’ to our poor movement. As we go about our day, we engrain dysfunctions in our body that anchor tension and can create a myriad of symptoms such as pain, stiffness and inflammation. Over time, these dysfunctions we exhibit in our movement become second nature to us - this is where chronic pain and poor athletic performance come in. Myofascial release gives us a tool to ‘erase’ some of the poor movements we’ve performed throughout the day and enables the body to become more receptive to the corrective exercise that follows.
Corrective Exercise
This is the part where we program new software into the body. Poor postural habits that we exhibit daily in all different kinds of scenarios must be replaced by efficient sequencing of the body, which we generally see mostly in the ‘core’, the pelvis and the ribcage. These corrective exercises give us a base to work of once it comes to the more complicated and dynamic motions.
